LEARNING OUTCOMES
LEARNOBOTS STORIES
The world is changing rapidly and many of our devices are now interconnected through the Internet of Things (IOT). Keeping this in mind, two of our students, Abdul Rafay and Haziq Fawad, made a mobile app to help their friend Ali, who was bedridden due to illness. Using the app, Ali could switch appliances in his room on and o using the internet while in bed. This project received a lot of attention in inter- national blogs and has been featured by MIT (Massachu- setts Institute of Technology) on their App Inventor website as well.
At LearnOBots, students try to solve real life problems by making awesome DIY projects using the latest technology. Two students, Haya and Taha, were facing a water tank overflow problem at home. To solve it, they made a water level measuring system to check the level of water and eliminate overflow. This project was featured on the Hack- aday website.
In this project, an eight-year-old student, Alisha, who is a tea lover, wanted to make a robot that can make tea for her. She combined her love for tea and her interest in Minions to design a “Minion Tea Maker”. The Minion Tea Maker has three modes: ‘light’, ‘medium’, and ‘strong’ tea that can be selected using buttons on the side. Once the tea is ready, the user is informed by a sounding beep and an LED light.
